missed you a lot! ^_^
hope you had a great time, and i hope you get to relax and enjoy your vacation now ^_^ b
great to have you back!

f

favorite shinigami huh?
- from Bleach: Abarai Renji... because he came from the slums and became leutennant (sp?) of the 6th
- from FMoS: Meroko... so cuuute and her story is sooo saaad ;.;
- from YYH: Botan... because she's fun, she's smart and she's just plain cool
- from Gundam Wing: the one and only Duo Maxwell... what? he IS called Shinigami :p
- need to watch YnM u.u

f

actually... anime is a LOT about how people are imperfect...
that's why we love the stories with superpowered normal people trying to deal and cope with their issues
and i got hooked on anime back in the days of Macross (Robotech), theres a LOT of old school stuff that still rocks XD

f

it's too much anime when:

- you wake up and your significant decides to tear down your posters and puts up his/her posters (because obviously he/she has better taste in anything not-anime than you, even if you dont want to admit it).

- you find out that your collection of **place favorite anime** figures are not cool anymore, because the creator decided to reinvent the story making it a mockery of the beauty it once was

- you call your friends/family/work people by anime character names, no matter how obscure the refference is, especially since they look/act like them

- you stop downloading fansubs and start downloading raws because you hate those pesky english letters on the bottom of the screen, and besides it's not even translated right... and just because youre nice you start fansubbing because you know people that might like those new series youre watching raw

- you are being forced to close down your fan subbing group, because you didnt read to that pile of letters from some lawyer you thought was a random salaryman passing out flyers about the anime youre currently fixated on

- the people at **name famous computer hardware store** know you by name and tell you about offers on hard disks, cd/dvd burners, blank media (cd's/dvds), monitors and oher equipment... and have your last order waiting for you with a nice bow because they like you that much

- the people at your local video store havent seen you since you demanded they carry at the very least old skool licensed anime, to which you gave them a 20 page (double sided and small font) of acceptable series, sorted alphabetically and by genre

XP XP XP XP XP XP XP XP XP XP XP XP

sad ending huh...
SaiKano... it is SUCH a heart breaking story... definetly teh sad ;.;
tho Cowboy Bebop was pretty heartbreaking also
ive been told to watch KimiNozo... i havent cried in a while :P

f

for me it's still a toss up between:
Rurouni Kenshin and Jubei Ninpuchou (Ninja Scroll)
both have cool main characters, awesome fights and great dramatic moments :)

-Samurai 7: very good, but not as good as the oringinal movie from Kurosawa
-Samurai Champloo: hmmm... i like the character designs, but havent seen enough of it to pass a grade on it
-Kaze Makaze Tsukikage Ran, i liked it, didnt really love it, but is mentionable, especially for having a female ronin as the staring role
-Peace Maker Kurogane: have not watched it enough to pass verdict... good character designs tho

f

Cyborg all the way baby!!!
it's all about the car, the sound system... and the waffles :D
besides, he's really fun and has a really deep story, if you actually get a chance to read the original DC comics :) (warning: the comic is often dark and has a LOT of cofusing twists, plus has more characters)

f

i dont usually drink them but they do what theyre supposed to, keep you awake

RedBull's good, but i dont like the mediciney taste
Monster is really good, the green one reminds me of Jolly Rancher candies :9

been eyeing a case of Jolt Cola... yes it's real... just havent had the time to buy some ^_^;

f

I'll say I'm:
- 50% Realist,
- 20% pessimist
and the rest is optimist.

I've had some experiences in life teach me it's not all Black or White... sometimes you get to live and breath in the Gray. I try to be as positive as i can, but sometimes you just cant win. But it pays to know that the good balances the bad... if it didnt life wouldnt be fun.

f

Shopping huh?

Usually when i go to a mall its either to go window shopping, see what's new, what's fresh... and imagine how much i time i hafta save up when i see something i really want XP

i normally hit bookstores, music/video/game stores... a few clothing places... and if i'm feeling like i deserve something nice... i get me a present :D

Sometimes go with friends to just hang out at food courts trying to eat something new/different and check out cute people (especially couples... but mostly girls) ^_^'

f

be well and enjoy beautiful Semanga
we will miss you, but hope you have a great time on your time away

f

It's very difficult to live in this world... people dont seem to apreciate the little things that actually do matter; and take for granted that which is both essential and formative. All over the world, many people focus on accuring riches, but true wealth is not in their reach.

Education: yes getting taught to memorize stuff and not to learn stuff, or how to make ourselves learn, and the teachers no longer getting respected and/or paid enough to deal with the always growing amount of newer students; schools cutting back on programs due to 'insufficient funding'... makes me wonder if the people in charge are actually making sure people dont become too smart to see how bad the world really is

Discrimination: it's a fact of life, a really bad one, it happens wether we want it or not... its the fear of what's different and the inabillity to cope and/or understand them, let alone respect them... sex, race, economical stability, nationality... what good is it to differentiate when were all human, we all hurt and feel pain, we all smile and feel joy... why cant or why wont people just take a step back and at least try to walk a few feet in someone else's shoes???

Gender Issues: i know... men and women are different and that is a good thing... but we all know we dont necesarilly have to carry on with the same rolls that have been carried for the last 2-3 millenia... come on people, we've been on this planet long enough to at least look at each other, mate and make more people... why cant we swap what few roles we can? it's both good for us in general as a species as it is on a one-on-one situation.. besides we can learn alot from the opposite sex

Sexual Prefference: that is only an issue to the people involved... the couple, wether it be homo or hetero, it's their choice to express their feelings... i kinda feel like the people condemning them may be jealous because of the couple's happyness, and just call it bad because they are not suffering like the 'normals' pffft... if you dont like who youre with, then why are you with them in the first place???

Border Issues: what is with these people? youre afraid of someone comming to your country and claiming a little plot of land, make their lives a little better and keep their original beliefs... oh please... Europe is a lot more laid back about their borders than america... and not just the US, but the whole continent... the americas is a continent of people that left their home countries for better opportunities or fleeing from what they didnt like... some by choice, others by chance and still some against their will, so why are you so afraid of more people like your ancestors, looking for a better chance?... and what about the people that were already here? why are they ignored and belittled? because they have the original rights to the place, and should kick us all out for messing their place

Rights, Privileges and Obligations: sure everyone loves getting stuff, but we ALL hate paying for it, or maintaining it... but we still deal with it, why because we want it to last longer... take for example a car, gets to to where you wanna go, makes a cool personal space, but we all hate all the obligations it entails (washing, fueling, registration, local laws, other drivers)... sometimes we just need to remember that nothing is perfect and it's got it's drawbacks and we have to make sure we keep our end of the bargain (and not weasle out of it!)

Quote by urdchan think it might be better to title the discussion "Issues On The Way The World Doesn't Work"...

the world works allright... just not the way we want/expect it to... so we have to find the balance, or at least a good and positive way to make it liveable for all that live in it (not just ourselves), ps love your Avie *glomps zee goddess of the past and sometimes love*

uuh... i'm out of ideas to rant... i'll add on more once i finish reading everyone else's :P

f

* Classic card games: i like old fashioned poker, blackjack, etc (but not for cash, only chips) then there's Uno, slapping games and just random fun party card games.

* TCG's... i used to play pokemon ^_^' and a little Warlords... never did get into Magic or L5R but I love the artwork... Yugi, eh, i'd rather watch the cartoon :P and Duel Masters... pffft who are we kidding, it's Yugi ripping off Magic

f

I'll have to say yes, I am a little more expressive online than off line.

Sure there are people you exagerate with, becuase it's fun and they return the favor being overly expressive; but with online friends I tend to be more Emotional, since I can be more honest and talk about more delicate things than just goof off with people i barely know.

I've had experiences where some people are geniunely honest, and others where they dont even care that there are other people on the other side of the computer monitor; it mostly depends on how long you've known some people on line and how much trust you are willing to give them, it helps when they are also open and honest to you.

I believe part of this boost of emotions comes because the other person(s) are not physically there, so you compensate a little making sure they pay attention to you; that and youre not afraid of being hurt since you measure some people before opening up.

Then again, that could be just me :P

f

i've tried so many many times and i've failed at it u.u
but i havent given up, one of these day's i'll be able to juggle more than 2 things at the same time ^_^
and disney isnt bad... the tv programs are good... it's their movies, when are they going to stop with the unwanted sequels >=0000000~~~~~!!!!!!!!

f

Welcome back XD
and yaaaay! lucky get! on Valentines :o
hope you got plenty of choco and if not, youre welcome to help me plot for white day <_< >_> ;)

f

yay choco! **munchies hungrilly**

thanks Celessa, i needed that *n.n*

and thanks for spreading the love to the lonely hearts club, seems like february 14 is always a lonely day when we go around town and go "one please", except for the lucky ones that find someone special and have the honor of saying "two please" n.n

*plots for white day* hehehehe, need to find something cute!

f

LOL
Celessa = Mahoro "Ecchi wa ikenai to omoimasu!" OX

well personally i believe it's something of a personal matter, sure i'd megablush ifi was caught, but hey everyone likes what they like... i cant and wont condone them for being interested in certain kinds of pictures, but one should know what theyre getting into and be prepared for the consequences...

and ecchi has levels, it can be cute and non offensive... or you can go to the dark side and it can really be scarry/gross... just gotta know when to say "ok i had enough" and delete the links/folders/images in your brain... because too much of something aint good

and yeah, those sites are waaaaaaaay to easy to access, just a search engine find away, some people (especially young'uns) may not have enough mental capacity to understand or just dont know how to cope with certain images, and that can be detrimental to their emotional/mental wellbeing in the long run (too many perverts not enough romantics!)

f

Being a guy, i can say were fairly simple minded, we let ouy desires and control us more than we should; not that it's a bad thing.

Sure there are some of us that can channel those emotions/hormones better than others (sports, music, art, etc), but in general, we men are somewhat more physically inclined wether it be giving a male friend a noogie, a strong pat on the back, or just plain be aggro.. its basically the best (if only) way we can express mutual respect, understanding and male camaradery.

Now the ways we deal with women, granted, may not be the best, heck 98.6% of us find you women a complete mystery wrapped in an enigma found in the bottom of a liiiitle present box waaaay in the back of the x-mas tree that we just can not find >.<. So many times we try (and fail) to understand you with our usual methods, mostly gaining a harsh look or bitter words because those kinds of attentions are unwanted (well most of the time, some of you do like them every once in a while and in certain situations ;) )

I guess some times we do believe that saying "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus", but there are moments when we find each other... that's worth all the missunderstandments... but in the meanwhile, i guess we men will be grossing and pissing you off with our usual manly shennanigans ^_^

f

I'll say my room is messy enough... especially near the computer, but my anime/manga/movie collection is pretty orderly.

You can see the floor with no problem, but on my weekends i am as messy as possible since i just decide to just not do anything at all :P
Normally i'm so-so clean and neat, but sometimes i just feel BLEEEEEEH!

That reminds me, i need to dust my mangas and dvds

f

yes! i love to procrastinate, put stuff off for alter, wait till the last minute and bes of all do stuff later :P

it's not a feel good/bad thing, it's more of a "i wanna do other stuff i like right now instead of boring have to do things"

i feel pretty lucky that i can pull off finishing up most of the stuff i put off for later, well when it's important stuff i get it done right... if it wasnt important, i would have forgotten it completely XP

f

I was living something similar a little over a year ago. It was my first real real job after finishing university, so i though "well life is hard so you gotta take the bad with the good". I was doing 12 hours a day and getting paid only 8... doing the work of 3-4 people, and even then according to my boss it WAS in my job description.

A year of getting called by my customers and knowing their setups by heart, I decided to take a week's vacation off (it was more than mecesary!). When low and behold i get a call bright and early on my first day off by the company secretary freaking out because i hadnt arrived... >.<

After a couple of months of slaving over the same pay, I checked my funds and decided to hit the road and started job hunting.

My current job is pretty good, tho it has its bad moment... but hey, who said work was going to be fun always? and personally i miss school :P

f

I've noticed that some wallpapers are ok, and get a lot of attention... and the ones that are omgwtfbbqnice!!! get ignored unless the waller has a lot of friends and they inturn have friends.
Also beauty is in the eye of the beholder, what kicks butt for some people might just give it a second look and forget about it. Sometimes as some say, it's timing that you see great walls and have the time to apreciate them, giving kudos to where they are deserved.
